Send photos and voice notes that open once

View-once media disappears after it has been opened — useful for a password, a document photo or anything you'd rather not leave sitting in someone's gallery.

Send it

1. Attach a photo, video or voice note as usual.
2. Turn on View once in the preview before you send.

What the recipient sees

They see a placeholder telling them the media can be opened once. After they open it, it can't be reopened by them or by you — and it isn't kept in the chat.

Good to know

• View-once media isn't saved to anyone's gallery automatically.
• We can't prevent someone photographing their screen — only send to people you trust.
