Turn on two‑step verification

Two‑step verification adds a PIN that's required whenever your phone number is registered with KT Messenger again — a strong defence against SIM‑swap attacks.

Enable it

1. Go to Settings → Security → Two‑Step Verification.
2. Tap Enable and choose a 6‑digit PIN you'll remember.
3. Optionally add an email address so you can reset the PIN if you forget it.

Important

• KT will occasionally ask for this PIN to help you remember it. There's no way to recover a forgotten PIN without your recovery email, so add one.
• We will never ask for your PIN in a chat, email, or call. Anyone who does is trying to scam you.
