Set up KT Messenger on your phone

KT Messenger is built mobile‑first. Here's how to get the most out of it on your phone right after signing in.

Allow the right permissions

• Contacts — so KT can show you which of your contacts already use the app. Your address book never leaves your device in readable form.
• Notifications — so you don't miss messages and calls.
• Camera & microphone — only used when you take a photo, record a voice note, or make a call.

Personalise your experience

• Pick a theme (light, dark, or system) under Settings → Chats.
• Choose your preferred language — the whole app follows it.
• Set a chat wallpaper and notification sound.

Restore a previous chat history

If you're moving from another device, sign in with the same phone number and follow the on‑screen prompts to restore your encrypted backup.
