The search box above the chat list looks through chats, contacts and message text at the same time.

Search everything

Start typing and results group by kind — chats, contacts and messages. Pick a message to jump straight to it in the conversation, highlighted in place.

Search inside one chat

Open a chat and use the search icon in its header to look through that conversation only — handy for finding an address in a long group thread.

Filters

The chips under the search box narrow the list to Unread, Favourites or Groups. The ⌄ chip holds your communities and any chat lists you've made.
