Group permissions and admins

Every group has an owner and can have any number of admins. Open Group info → Group settings to set the rules.

What admins can do

• Add and remove members, and promote or demote other admins.
• Edit the group's name, icon and description.
• Pin a message so newcomers see it first.
• Delete anyone's message from the group.

What you can restrict

• Who can send messages — everyone, or admins only.
• Who can edit group info.
• Who can add members, and whether joins via link need admin approval.

Leaving

Anyone can exit a group. If you're the last admin, promote someone else first so the group isn't left without one.
