Change your phone number

Moving to a new number? The change/number feature migrates your account — chats, groups, and settings — to the new number.

Before you start

• Make sure the new number can receive SMS and is active in your phone.
• Keep using the same phone/app; don't delete the app first.

Change the number

1. Go to Settings → Account → Change Number.
2. Enter your old number, then your new number, and verify the new one with the SMS code.
3. Optionally notify your contacts or groups about the change.
