Archived chats

Archiving moves a conversation out of your main list without deleting anything.

Archive and unarchive

Open a chat's menu and choose Archive. Archived chats collect in an Archived row at the top of the list; open it to see them, and unarchive from the same menu.

What archiving does not do

• It doesn't delete messages — everything is exactly where you left it.
• It doesn't tell the other person anything.

Muted and archived

Archiving on its own doesn't silence a chat. Mute it as well if you'd rather it stayed quiet.
